I recently came across something related to a new product I'm using. The relevance of the following is, of course, conditional on the type of startup, project, or product you may be working on.

That is, having a subreddit for community discussion of your product. This does not necessarily mean creating the subreddit yourself, but at least contributing to the conditions that promotes a community to arise, that is interested in the product and pain-point you may be solving.

The practical utility is at least two fold. A) Serves as an active running indication that the problem/product is worthwhile or not, and B) Provides information to you or the person developing the product, on problems that people are facing, or potential suggestions for improvement. (Of course, there are other channels for this, and it depends again on the type of product and target customer).
